Fresh: Ok Go!

After collecting all the rewards for the creative idea behind the "Here It Goes Again" video, even the YouTube best video award they launch their latest video which makes the previous look not-So-creative :) Anyway, the new OK Go video debuted on February the 15th and is pretty awesome. I think it doesn't go better than this, in fact, I would really like to see where their creative genius will take them...next time.

Artist of the Month

System of a Down

Tankian and Malakian formed the band SOD and in the summer of 1998, System of a Down released their debut album,System of a Down. They enjoyed moderate success with their first single "Sugar becoming a radio favorite, followed by the singles "Spiders" and "War?". The group's big break arrived when their second album Toxicity debuted in America in 2001. After that followed Steal This Album in 2002, the double album Mezmerize/Hypnotize in 2004/2005. System of a Down has been labeled as "nu metal" by some fans and media since their incarnation
I personally do not like labels and like to call their music simply awesome.

"Aerials" from Toxicity

"B.Y.O.B" from Mezmerize

"Chop Suey" from Toxicity

"Such a Lonely Day" from Hypnotize

She Wants Revenge

"Tear You Apart"

Justin Warfield and Adam Bravin (aka DJ Adam 12) make the Los Angeles duo She Wants Revenge and after opening for such acts as The Raveonettes, Moving Units, The Kills, Bloc Party, and OK Go they may actually win the audience and make a name for themselves instead of being called copycats for their group's one-note impression of dark new wave acts like Joy Division, The Cure and Bauhaus. Anyway, I enjoyed this song and what is more important Ilove this video and I hope you will, too.

Deerhoof

A truly unique and complicated sound with a matching unique but so "spur-of-the-moment" video. The funny drummer is Greg Saunier and the singer/bassist is Satomi Matsuzaki.
